Blackwood Partners LLP, an Aberdeen firm focused on corporate and commercial work, is recruiting for a traineeship commencing in September 2025. The traineeship will offer an exciting opportunity to work predominantly on transactions in the corporate, commercial and banking fields but will offer some exposure to employment and commercial property work.
The opportunity is ideal for those who have a real interest in corporate and commercial matters and a desire to join a transactional practice which acts for a range of clients on notable deals. Candidate must have an excellent academic record both at school and university, together with clear and precise verbal and written communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure to challenging deadlines.
The firm operates a different model from traditional corporate firms and this makes for a relaxed and friendly working environment despite the demanding nature of the work.
An LLB and Diploma in Legal Practice are a condition to commencement of the traineeship.
Trainee salaries are in line with the Law Society of Scotland’s recommended rates.
