Our client, a well-established national business headquartered in Glasgow, is currently recruiting for a Senior Legal Counsel.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) and demonstrable expertise in regulatory compliance and commercial contracts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for advising and providing guidance on a range of matters, including but not limited to mergers and acquisitions, disputes, commercial property, data protection, and intellectual property. Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the General Counsel in the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective compliance policies, procedures, and guidance across the Group, with a specific focus on anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions, modern slavery, and other compliance areas as required.
Collaborating with project teams across the organisation to provide legal support for strategic initiatives, including joint ventures and redevelopment projects, ensuring successful project outcomes.
Assisting in the design and delivery of legal and compliance training for the company’s boards and management teams.
