A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a solicitor to join a growing Renewable Energy team in Edinburgh.

Job Description

The team works with a diverse client base, including developers, investors, landowners, funders, communities, and planning authorities in Scotland’s renewable energy sector.

This role is suitable for a solicitor with experience in energy law or those from a commercial property or rural background who are looking to transition into the renewable energy industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate documents such as exclusivity agreements, options, and leases.
  • Conduct due diligence on renewable energy projects.
  • Provide legal support to clients in the renewables supply chain.
  • Projects will include wind, hydro, rooftop and ground-mounted solar, battery storage, marine, and emerging green hydrogen sectors. The firm provides training as needed and encourages involvement in industry events and client bulletins.
