Planning Law & Renewables Solicitor/Associate - Glasgow/Edinburgh - Hybrid. 

£70k-£75k (DOE)  + Excellent Benefits Package.

Highly regarded, established City Centre firm has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Panning/Renewables Solicitor/Associate to join their highly regarded and established Planning team, based either Glasgow or Edinburgh. 

The successful candidate will work alongside 2 senior members of the Planning Team, as well as working closely with the wider team on a range of planning and environmental issues including a portfolio of onshore wind appeals and s.36 applications.

This role offers direct client contact with some of the largest players in the industry, you will also have the opportunity to visit clients, for site visits, attend planning inquiries, conferences and other BD events.

The team is also involved in a range of other planning and environmental issues including in relation to housing, infrastructure, transport and retail projects.

The work is both interesting and challenging, the successful candidate will frequently be involved in advising on novel points and unusual circumstances.

It is crucial you can demonstrate have the ability to think creatively, get to the bottom of the issue quickly, and deliver advice in a clear and straightforward manner is a must.

You will be involved in business development activities of the team and a willingness to help build the business is essential.

You will be expected to attend networking events and client pitches, as well is helping with tenders, articles, seminars and other profile raising activities.

As well as ideally having had a planning and litigation experience, you must be committed to providing an excellent level of client service and to building a relationship with your immediate peers and other members of our renewable energy team.

A willingness to learn and to pitch in to help senior members of the team is essential.
