Are you a pensions senior associate looking for your next big move? QED Legal are working with one of Scotland’s leading law firms to find a Legal Director who’s ready to take on a key role within their stellar pensions team.

Job Description

Based in the Central Belt, this is your chance to grab the reins, work with fantastic clients, and make your mark in a leadership role with a defined track to Partnership.

You’ll be at the forefront of a respected pensions practice, offering expert advice to a varied mix of clients, from trustees to employers and everyone in between. Whether it’s corporate support, navigating complex compliance issues, or keeping clients on the right side of regulations, you’ll be the trusted advisor they can’t do without. On top of that, you’ll be surrounded by an increasingly talented team, helping them grow and keeping them moving towards the big "what's next?".

Building relationships will be a big part of your role, whether it’s with clients or colleagues in other practice areas. You’ll also need a sharp eye for business opportunities, spotting ways to grow the practice and expand the client base. And of course, you’ll stay ahead of the curve on pensions legislation, making sure your advice is always cutting-edge.

We need someone with at least 8 years of solid pensions law experience, ideally from a top-tier law firm or in-house environment. You’ll be a master at managing complex cases and providing strategic advice, with leadership skills that inspire confidence and trust. You’ll also have a knack for simplifying the complicated, making pensions law accessible to clients who’d rather not think about it.

If you’ve got a commercial mindset and a proven track record of business development, you’ll fit right in.

This role comes with a salary that reflects your niche expertise and the opportunity to work in a supportive, flexible, and collaborative environment. Hybrid working is on offer, is in no danger of being taken away, and can offer you the freedom to balance office life with working from home.
