Job Description

This leading independent Scottish firm is seeking a Partner (or senior-level Legal Director ready to step up) to join its highly respected construction team. Known for its strength across both contentious and non-contentious work, the team is trusted by a wide client base—including major developers, contractors, consultants, and funders—for strategic, commercial advice.

You’ll be taking a leading role in complex disputes arising from large-scale infrastructure and construction projects across Scotland and beyond. The team handles high-stakes issues around payment, defects, delay, professional negligence, and contract interpretation, with deep experience across adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and litigation—including proceedings in the Court of Session.

With a strong pipeline of infrastructure, energy, and development work, the group is well-placed for continued growth. As a senior member of the team, you’ll play a key part in business development, mentoring junior lawyers, and contributing to the wider strategy of the practice.
