Are you an experienced solicitor with a strong background in Family Law, Child Law, and Guardianship? We are seeking a highly skilled locum solicitor to provide crucial support to our busy firm based in Hamilton. This role is ideal for someone with significant expertise who can step in seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities
 

As the locum solicitor, you will provide legal support across a range of areas, including:

• Family Law & Child Law: Advising clients on divorce, separation agreements, child disputes, Children’s Hearings, and Minute of Agreement cases.
• Guardianship: Guardianship applications and providing related advice.
• Court Hearings: Representing clients in procedural and substantive hearings, including appearances at court as required.

You may be required to appear at hearings, prepare and draft legal documents, and meet with clients to provide expert advice.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years PQE, with a solid background in family and child law, including Children’s Hearings and court procedures.
• Experience with both private cases and legal aid where applicable.
• Strong self-management and ability to work independently. 

Contract Details

• Duration: Cover period from November 18th 2024.
• Working Hours: Full time, Part Time may be considered.
• Location: Hamilton Office. 
• Remuneration: Competitive, negotiable based on experience.
