The Opportunity – Litigation Solicitor

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Litigation Solicitor to join our talented legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career with a firm that consistently strives for excellence and client satisfaction.

You will become part of a diverse team of over 100 professionals, all driven by a shared passion for exceptional client care. McEwan Fraser Legal operates seven days a week to provide unrivaled service, and we are happy to consider both full-time and part-time flexible working arrangements to accommodate a healthy work-life balance.

Main Responsibilities:

• To handle a varied caseload of civil and commercial disputes in accordance with client protocols.
• Excellent relationship and client handling skills, being able to deal confidently and professionally with clients in order to gain and maintain their confidence.
• Receive and respond to requests for legal advice from current and potential clients and providing high quality, practical advice.
• Correspond with clients and other solicitors and liaise with Counsel and experts where appropriate.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor with a valid practicing certificate.
• Proven experience in family law within the Scottish legal system.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in IT systems and legal software applications.
• A compassionate and professional approach to client care, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.

Core working hours will be Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5.30pm, but flexibility may be available for the right candidate.

Salary will be negotiable dependent on experience.
