Some of the day-to-day tasks & responsibilities

• It’s a very busy department with plenty to do
• The majority of your caseload will comprise claims with a value up to £5,000.  
• Pre-litigation assessment of subrogated recovery claims.
• Managing your own caseload of subrogated recovery claims using a case management system.
• Assisting solicitors in the team as required.
• Ensuring regular contact with clients and third parties by telephone, email and general correspondence.
• Dealing with claims, assessing quantum and negotiating settlement.
• Drafting court proceedings and handling all procedural aspects other than hearings.  
• Complying with the firm's time recording policy.
• Being aware of Brodies’ information security policies, and protect information assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference at all times.

Do you have what it takes to be successful

• Four years' experience gained within a comparable environment and at an appropriate level
• Existing experience handling a caseload independently
