Our client, a Scottish Law Firm and Estate Agents, currently has an open vacancy for a Senior Solicitor/Associate to join its busy team in Glasgow.

Job Description

The successful candidate will represent a range of major banking clients on various matters including debt recovery, financial disputes, security rectification, professional negligence, secured debt recoveries and tenancy disputes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting partners on key projects for lender clients.
  • Managing a significant caseload for key financial services clients.
  • Proactively running a varied litigation caseload emanating from lender clients in connection with mortgage, personal and business lending.
  • Negotiating settlements and achieving the best possible outcome for clients.
  • Representing clients in a variety of court hearings and settlement meetings.
  • Mentoring and supporting solicitors, trainee solicitors and paralegals in the department.

To be considered for this role, you should possess a minimum of 3 years’ PQE with prior experience in secured and/or unsecured debt recovery matters. Good knowledge and understanding of conveyancing practice and/or property litigation is desirable however not essential.
