Job Description

The firm is expanding its newly established practice in Glasgow and is seeking to recruit an Associate specialising in professional indemnity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a varied and interesting caseload including:

  • Providing strategic advice to professional clients and their insurers on case management, claims approach, and cost reserves.
  • Managing high-value, complex claims from initial policy assessment through to resolution.
  • Creating clear, concise reports for insurers, with the ability to explain and provide guidance on challenging and complex issues.
  • Overseeing the Insurer/Insured relationship, maintaining awareness of potential conflicts.
  • Tracking key dates and ensuring adherence to service level agreements with insurers.
  • Preparing thoroughly for court cases across all judicial levels.

The firm is seeking candidates with at least 4 years of PQE, though there may be some flexibility for the right person if they have a strong litigation background.
