This well-established law firm is currently recruiting for a Senior Legal Counsel to join its expanding General Counsel team in Jersey.

Job Description

You may expect to be involved in providing top-tier advice and governance support to various partnerships and senior management.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ PQE with strong enthusiasm and interest in governance. It is preferable to be qualified in England and Wales, Scotland, Jersey or Guernsey with excellent understanding of corporate law. Responsibilities include:

Provide in-house legal advice and support, including liaising with external counsel in connection with specific governance projects.
Provide support on the governance-related integration of new jurisdictions and entities, including advising on legal and regulatory requirements and their implications from a governance perspective
Advise partners and senior management on the requirements of the firm's constitutional documents

In-house experience is also advantageous, however not essential for the right candidate. If you are looking to develop or get a start on an in-house career, then this is a fantastic opportunity.
